Presenting (pitch mode)

Pitch mode turns a document into a clean, full-screen presentation. It hides all the reader’s controls, scales the pages to fill the space, and gives you a presenter’s toolkit — a laser pointer, highlights, a blackout key and more. It’s built for showing a document live: a proposal on a call, a brochure on a big screen, a deck in a meeting.

It’s available on any share link and inside an embed, so you can present a document wherever it lives.

Plan availability

Pitch Mode is on the Agency plan and up.

Start and leave

• Start: the presentation icon in the top toolbar, or press P.
• Leave: press Esc, or use the exit button in the control bar.

On the way in the interface disappears and the pages grow to fill the screen. Pair it with fullscreen (F) for a true full-screen pitch.

The controls

Pitch mode is deliberately bare. A small button sits in the top-right corner — click it to reveal a floating control bar with page navigation, the current page, the slide-flow toggle, fullscreen and exit. The bar hides itself again a few seconds after you move away, so nothing sits over your document while you talk.

To move between pages you don’t need the bar: click the right or left half of the page, or use the arrow keys and Space.

Slide flow

By default pages turn with the usual page-curl. Toggle slide flow in the control bar and they glide sideways instead, one spread at a time — a cleaner, more presentation-like motion. Switch between the two at any point; the page you’re on doesn’t change.

Laser pointer and highlights

While presenting, your cursor becomes a laser dot over the pages (on a mouse or trackpad).

• Right-click anywhere on the page to pulse the pointer — a quick emphasis to draw the room’s eye to a spot.
• Click and drag to draw a highlight box over an area. The box is faint, sits over the page, and fades away on its own after a few seconds — good for circling a figure or a line as you talk about it.

Right-click won’t turn the page

In pitch mode a right-click is reserved for the pointer pulse, so it never navigates.

Blackout

Press B to black out the screen — everything goes dark, pulling all attention to you rather than the document. Press B again, click, or hit Esc to bring it back. A staple for the moment you want the room looking at you, not reading ahead.

Stays awake

While you’re in pitch mode the screen won’t dim or go to sleep, so a long presentation won’t be interrupted by the display timing out. It resumes normal power saving when you leave.

A progress bar

A thin bar along the bottom edge shows how far through the document you are — a subtle sense of pace without a page counter in the way.
